Gained 9lbs in 3 weeks – progress report #2 and black poodles

Check out pics of my progress.

End of weeks 3.  Gained 9 lbs total.  2lb shy of my goal of 170, which I would have hit if I did not screw up my diet this week.  For 2 days straight I only had 4 meals per day, so that hurt me.  I would have hit my goal this week.

Next week I am hitting it and then on to another goal.

I just found your site. I am very similar. I’m 35, 6’1 and currently 160 but all the other parts of the story are pretty much the same as yours. Twice I’ve broken 170. The first time was while I was back in school and just eating a lot of mac’n'cheese and the second was while lifting but using double cheeseburgers for weight gain.
I started this year with a mostly aerobic program and cleaned up my diet and lost quite a bit of fat–dropping to 160 from 167. In March I’ll be done with my program and will join a gym. This time I’m not going to rely on McD’s for help.
I can’t believe you’ve gained so much so quickly. A few pounds of water, perhaps but that is super-impressive! Would you say the program in the book is what’s making the difference? My goal is 175 but I do have a stretch goal of just over 180.

    Thanks!
I’ll be following along. Look forward to learning more about what your program is.

Thanks for following along. It helps me to stay focused and motivated. I am hesitant to say it is the program yet, but in my last breakthrough to 171 I was using this program, but I was using creatine, and I am not this time.

To be honest, I think the program is decent part of my progress so far, but by far the biggest part is the discipline in diet. Last week I was not so disciplined and only gained 1 pound from the week before.

I am getting back on track with my diet and by that I mean really trying to be strict and eat alot of the right foods.

This week I am trying my hardest to break through my goal #1 of 170, then onto goal #2.

Thanks for following and feel free to contact me any time.
